My son and I are all fired up and ready to go. I am going to meet up with Ryan at the motel friday night. Hopefully we can find the range from there. 500 mi for us. About a 9 hr drive.

i'll be putting the road signs up on the 13th on rt95/w, rt14/w, and the turn on to AH. theyll say vanzant skeet and trap range and have arrows with mileage to...
the 5 mailboxes, where the last one will have an arrow in the dirt drive.
very hot here. but im assuming its hot everywhere.
my trees throw some shade on the fields in the late afternoon and of course, at night it may be a little cooler. so depending on what all your plans are...if you want to move it to late afternoon and evening, just let me know.
clubs ac is walmart level freezing cold.
got plenty of tapes/dvd's for down time between squads, so if we get cabin bound from heat...at least we have something to watch.
or you could just mop the floor.

Its going to hit 100 in Chicago today. This is going to be one hot summer. We get years up here where it never hit's 90.

talk about heat today....my propane tanks emergency vented @ 220psi from expansion.
pray for cooler weather. i just lost 400.00 worth of gas to the heat wave. we hit 107 today. my kitchen stove may be out of action. but i do have an electirc grill and hot plate to cook on, plus microwave.

when you guys get off 60 in mt grove, go left across the overpass to get to the days inn. be careful you dont turn left again for days inn too early or youll get back on 60e!!!
'sunny side cafe' in the walmart area back across rt 60, is about the best of all places to get a lot of food.

No I didnt get to I wanted to but my wife had several doctors appointments and that took up all my time. I had to go to the doctor today and they are going to burn my nerve endings in my back on Aug 2nd when we get back from the trip.I dont know if I ever told you about me but 6 months before my wife fell ill I was having back problems and they fused my spine together with rods and screws.I hurt in my back hip and down my right leg ever since.Ive have epidural injections in my back every three months and im getting tired of them cause they dont last long so im going to get the nerve endings burnt which will last alot longer.I started a carpet cleaning business with my dad 25 yrs ago and after years of picking up beds,dressers,couches and whatever else you have in a house has taken a toll on me and made me old before my time.Then 6 months later genny fell ill and I dont talk about my problem because compared to her i have no problems if you know what I mean.But dont worry if I wouldnt have told ya you would never know by looking at me. We dont feel sorry for ourselves because no matter how bad it sounds somebody always has it worse than we do.Were just thankful for what we have.Cant wait til friday when I see indiana in the rearview mirror.

if an american soldier was able to see what actually happened during ww2 all around him as he was in it, he would have been overwhelmed by the events.

instead, his unit was given a small portion of it. he fought his best, helped his men around him, lost a few, gained a few....and one day, it was over.

such is life.

I sure will. Everyone has problems,such is life.I dont walk around like a sad sack for a second.Like is said somebody always has it worse and it does no good to go around feeling sorry for yourself because know one else will.The sun will rise and set no matter what.This trip is much needed for me and my son.I got the guns cleaned and lubed and the vehicle serviced and now just waiting on friday Be safe.
