Closing in on a year since I actually got started. Only loaded 9mm so far, but I need some .223 and .380, so I'll be loading those when life slows down in August.

Steve, what powder you use in the 25?
I found two loads - a Bullseye and a Unique. My powder measure would not go down far enough to drop that small an amount. The Lee dipper that dips 1.0 of Unique was very consistent, for me, but I had nothing small enough for Bull, so I would have to weigh every charge. So I do the 1.0 of Unique. Finding bullets, though, is a pain. I'd like to get one of them Lyman molds, but they are few and far between.

I started reloading around 1978 for my first centerfire revolver a Ruger Security Six 357 mag, using one of the old Lee handloaders (yep, using a mallet). I then added 44 mag, then 9 mm and 10mm, and finally 45 acp and 40 SW. I never had a need or desire to move into rifle or shotgun rounds. I find reloading to be a natural extension of the shooting experience.

I've been reloading since about 1978, and have loaded for almost every gun I've ever had... Now, however, I just reload those cartridges that I shoot alot, and on occasion, those obsolete cartridges that aren't available any longer.

Reloaded first rifle rounds around 2003 then Uncle Sam called. Been reloading full swing about a year or two. I reload, 30-06, 9mm, 38 Special, .357 Magnum. Have dies for .41 Magnum and .45 ACP but have not reloaded any of those two yet.

Am currently waiting for delivery of components and press so I can begin this journey. I am going to start with 9mm and see where it goes from there. Thanks for a great forum that has tons of good useful information.

Well, I am over 40 and my dad had me rolling cases on the lube pad when I was 3 years old. So, I have been reloading a while now. Been a family thing for use for a long time.
Boy, we reload about everything. Heck, we have dies for stuff we don't even have too. Just in case we get it. Have .218 Bee, .17 Remington, 44 Mag, etc. etc. and we don't have any in those calibers right now. Nothing larger than the 7m Rem Mag though. No Kodiaks in Iowa so we figure we are good to go. My dad is an ex-Marine so he enjoys his guns. Has made for a lot of fun for us both I think. Used to shoot for 6-8 hours each weekend during my teens. |

I have been reloading for many years, only way I can afford to shoot some calibers. Never have reloaded for shotgun.

Thought about it all my life; started after Big "O" got elected. Shoot the guns every couple days now off the back porch T bench that reloading incited me to throw together. I also have the peace of mind that my grandkids will have all the ammo they ever need; bought and paid for when the caribou come to town. Haven't started reloading for my pistols, 44,480, 460, & 45, but got everything I need. Reload for all my hunting guns:
556 270 6.8 308 338 fed 7 mag 30-378 338 win mag My only regret (when ya first start) and advice to others is not to worry too much about things like neck turning ect; you'll just waste money on equipment; stick to the basics. |

First reloaded in 1969, 38 Special with a Lee Loader. Off and on until '86 when I began reloading seriously for my .44 Magnums. So far I recycle:
9mm (just started again) .38/357 Mag. .44 Special/Mag. (75%-90% of my reloading) .25 ACP (very rarely now, too damn small) 380 ACP (I think I still have dies?) .45 ACP .223 .30-30 .30-06 7.62X39 7.62X54R Plus I cast for .44, 38/357, .45, and 30-30. Not a lot but it keeps me busy and satisfied ![]()
