I'm already hearing mention of the infamous "insanity plea". F*ck that - he is obviously insane - all the more reason he is no longer needed here!!!!

He will get some liberal lawyer that will try and get him off on some reason of insanity bs and cost taxpayers thousands of dollars to keep him alive.

Stingray, same thing I told Zane. Read my whole post. Specifically the last line. I don't want to see him banned for it either.

For the record I don't care for the poster either. And sorry guys he needs a trial. We are a nation of laws and the law says he must stand trial. That doesn't mean it has to last more than a half hour though. I think the poster is too early. "A man is innocent until proven guilty by a court"

The second a judge says "GUILTY" then ok with the poster.

My whole problem with Tango is his insistence that the thread be removed because he is offended by it. We are adults here. If we don't like what the tv is playing on one station we turn it to another. If he doesn't like the thread and the posts in favor of the poster, fine. State your opinion and move on. We all value his opinion here. But lay off demanding it be removed like some lib who wants talk radio silenced because they don't like what Rush or Hannity have to say.

The poster may be in bad taste but I like it. I think it points to the rage we all feel for this man..

In the initial reporting of the horrifying “Dark Knight” shooting, ABC rushed to report that a Jim Holmes– a name similar to that of the alleged shooter– was a member of a local Tea Party.

“There’s a Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado, page on the Colorado Tea party site as well, talking about him joining the Tea Party last year,” Ross said. “Now, we don’t know if this is the same Jim Holmes. But it’s Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado,” Brian Ross told George Stephanopoulos on “Good Morning America.”

The connection was wholly unverified, and ABC was forced to issue what some have deemed a “non-apology” retraction.

Now the Tea Party-affiliated Jim Holmes is speaking out, and he isn’t pleased.

Based on the fact that he is a member of a local Tea Party, there is a strong chance he was already skeptical of the “mainstream” media. Now, at least ABC has seemingly lost any credibility whatsoever in his eyes.

“What kind of idiot makes that kind of statement?” Holmes told The Daily Caller.

“Really, seriously, how do we take a journalist seriously when it’s pretty clear they really haven’t done any sort of check on their facts?”

Unlike the alleged shooter– a 24-year-old lunatic– this Holmes is reportedly a 52-year-old former law enforcement officer.

The Daily Caller, which interviewed Holmes on Friday, continues:

Holmes told TheDC that ABC News didn’t call him before going to air and he still hasn’t heard from them or received a direct apology. “No, not a thing,” he said.

“They could’ve contacted me through the Tea Party Patriots website,” said Holmes, who said he only recently joined the group and started attending lectures.

Recalling his day, Holmes said his wife first told him about the movie theater shooting Friday morning. He then received a text from a friend telling him that he was being mentioned on the news.

After the calls started pouring in, Holmes unplugged his home phone. He wanted to learn more about what was being said about him before commenting to anyone, he said. “I was getting called from area codes I just don’t get.”

“And I don’t anticipate plugging my phone in for a couple of days,” he said.

His message to reporters: “I do understand what making a mistake means… But is it really worth the person’s reputation, the potential ruining of the person’s reputation?” [Emphasis added]

Holmes added that, based on his experience in law enforcement, he knows you should “never, ever, ever bring somebody’s name or association into an accusation into the public eye” until you know the truth.

ABC appears to have missed that message.

Everyones out to hang the tea party or pro gun folks or to protect the shooter as he has rights , while his victims seem not to have any , or their families ...

Tango..well I think its all been said by others...I feel sorry for you..were any of the murdered victims related to you? if so my condolences and prayers for you. I have no prayer for the Perp, except a agonizing death 10 times what he has caused others...

Someone needs to pull the liberal media up hard. They make slimy insinuations every chance they can against conservatives and their values, and twisting facts to come to their preferred conclusions, but have no problem covering up liberal faults.

Money is the only language they listen to.

Yea I do, and most of the time I can keep it under control. Then other times.......well what can I say. And I never wanted or do want Tango to be banned, it was a very extreme example.

I agree. It's takes years to execute someone anyway. Use those years. pick his brain apart. use electro shock if necessary. maybe it will give a hint of what goes on in the minds of these type of dogs. Then again, maybe nothing will come out of it. A lone gunman is the hardest to detect. After you get what you want, drop his ass off in the middle of the everglades.
I also think, given he didn't start firing until he was a couple rows up the aisle, that a trained cc'er in the first row or three would have been able to take him out from behind.

I would just love to grab him by his Bozo the Clown hairdo and kick the livin' stuffing out of his psychotic butt. I don't believe in censorship, but enough publicity for this t*rd.

A man is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

We know he's guilty
the media knows he's guilty
everyone knows he's guilty

But until a judge reads the verdict he's a suspect

Another reason to carry. Could of saved us a trial
