Default White House: Obama not seeking new firearm laws

White House: Obama not seeking new firearm laws
Even as the issue of guns shifts to the forefront of the presidential campaign, the White House and the Senate’s top Democrat made it clear Thursday that new gun legislation will not be on the political agenda this year. Instead, President Barack Obama intends to focus on other ways to combat gun violence — a position not unlike that of his rival, Mitt Romney

Well, if the Senate doesn't have the time to legislate new gun control laws, then as god, Obozo will make some Executive Orders!

5. Our necks [are] under persecution: we labour, [and] have no rest.
16. The crown is fallen [from] our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!
21. Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.

It won't be on the agenda this year but, if he is re-elected, I guarantee it will be on the next year's agenda.

He doesn't like the legislative process. He'll do another end-around somehow.

Rep. Barney Frank was moaning that the Constitution was always getting in the way of doing things.

Unfortunately, the Constitution has already been declared passe. The usurpers are taking baby-steps to see how far they can go before the sheeple push back. The way things are going, it won't be long before the Constitution wont even be a concern and in a few years, young people won't even know what the Constitution was. Then we'll be just another 3rd. world country. Sieg Heil!

What people dont understand is laws do nothing to stop a spree type event. My Lord there has been people throught our history that does this and it has nothing to do with gun laws. Why not do something about serial killers. Most of them never used a firearm. So make extension cords and kitchen knives illegal. The only thing that has ever been proven to work is an armed response.

Look, this close to an election it would be suicide for him to take on this issue now and his handlers know it. If he is re elected, god forbid, he will absolutely address the issue then.
