Several People Reported Shot at Sikh Temple Law enforcement agencies from around the area have come to Oak Creek to help with a reported shooting at the Sikh Temple, with multiple victims reported. By Janine Anderson Email the author 11:21 am Email Print 6 Comments PHOTOS (2) Upload Photos and Videos Several people including possibly one police officer have reportedly been shot at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin, according to police radio reports coming out of Oak Creek. The incident reportedly occured about 10:45 a.m. Initial reports said there were four victims, and an active shooter. Mutual aid was requested from other departments to respond to the situation. Some unconfirmed scanner reports say between eight and 20 people have been injured. Oak Creek police are not releasing any information at this time. According to recent information broadcast over police radio, a witness to the shooting told law enforcement the shooter was a white male, with a heavy build, bald head and wearing a sleeveless T-shirt. He was last seen with two handguns. Scanner reports indicated that as of 11:40 a.m. that suspect may still be at large. Police have closed a portion of Howell Avenue and traffic is being diverted. Flight for Life helicopters have arrived on the scene. A Wauwatosa fire truck and numerous squad cars also are on on the scene. The Sikh Temple began with 20 families in rented space in the south side of Milwaukee and has since grown to number in the hundreds. A new Gurudwara was built in Oak Creek to better serve the needs of the growing community. The construction of the 17,500 square-foot Gurudwara was completed in 2007, with parking for 100 cars. Officials visited the Oak Creek temple in August 2011 to discuss public safety issues in the Sikh community. Concerns about safety arose last summer in the Sikh community after many businesses and people became victims of robberies and vandalism, according to an Oak Creek Patch report. Sikh Indians, because of religious tradition, wear turbans to cover their uncut hair and have longer beards. They are often mistaken for Muslims and have been the targets of racially-motivated crimes by anti-Muslim people and groups, as evidenced by the epithets shouted at them. The majority of the 20 million followers of Sikhism are located in India, according to the BBC. Founded in the 16th Century by Guru Nanak , Sikhisim is the internal religious state of the individual, the BBC states.

http://www.jsonline.com/news/crime/r...165059506.html We are getting reports that 20 to 30 people have been injured in a shooting before 11 a.m. Sunday at the Sikh Temple, 7512 S. Howell Ave., in Oak Creek. Two shooters are possibly still inside with children as hostages, according to someone who sent a text message to a Journal Sentinel reporter. Flight for Life has been called. Oak Creek police are not giving out any information at this point. Oak Creek police, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department and other law enforcement agencies have responded. There are reports that the head priest was locked inside a restroom with a cell phone and said there was as many as 30 victims in temple. As of about noon, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office said it had not been called to the scene. Meanwhile, Brookfield police officers were dispatched to the Sikh Temple at 3675 N. Calhoun Road as a precaution in the aftermath of the Oak Creek shooting. At least three squads were at the temple in Waukesha County. About 50 people were at the Brookfield temple for a morning service and many of them went outside after they learned of the shooting in Oak Creek. We will update frequently. |

Strange things are ramping up.......
End times, no, I don't think so..... People so fed up with America's policies, actions, elected officials, and all that entails..... that it makes them crazy and desperate....... I'll buy that.

In case anyone is following this...
Officer, shooter and others shot; reported hostage situation at Sikh temple in Oak Creek By Jay Sorgi CREATED 11:39 AM - UPDATED: 1:13 PM OAK CREEK - Police and fire departments have responded to the scene of shootings and a possible hostage situation at a religious site in Oak Creek on Sunday. At least four people were reportedly shot. Oak Creek Police did not confirm the number, but did confirm one of their officers was shot along with a shooter. "An officer arrived on scene. He engaged an active shooter. The officer was shot multiple times. He has been transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive," said police spokesman Bradley Wentlandt. "The shooter was put down." Pictures from Chopper 4 showed at least four people who were shot, though Oak Creek Police did not confirm those reports. One witness told Newsradio 620 WTMJ's Dan O'Donnell that at least one, possibly four gunmen were hiding inside the temple after they started shooting. As of 12:10 p.m., JSOnline reported at least 20 people who were shot inside the temple, the head priest locked inside a small room with a cell phone, and shooters possibly inside holding children as hostages. Oak Creek Police did not confirm that they have a shooter in custody. At least 10 to 12 ambulances were on scene. The shootings happened at about 10:30 a.m. at the Sikh Temple, on the 7500 block of South Howell Avenue in Oak Creek. "My friend called and said 'I heard the shot, and two people falling down in the parking lot.' He saw the shooter reloading the gun again," said witness Suni Singh to O'Donnell. There was no initial word on how many people were inside when the shooting happened. The temple holds hundreds of worshipers. TODAY'S TMJ4's Cody Holyoke reports two victims were taken to Froedtert Hospital. Witnesses told Tom Murray of TODAY'S TMJ4 that someone opened fire inside the temple at a time of Sunday morning worship. The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department has set up a SWAT Team presence by the temple. Murray reports that loved ones came to the scene to try and be present to people there. Authorities have set up a staging area near the temple and closed off roads in the area. |

http://www.cnn.com/2012/08/05/us/wis...html?hpt=hp_t1
(CNN) -- At least seven people, inclmuding a gunman shot by a police officer, have been killed in an attack on worshippers at a Sikh temple in the Milwaukee suburb of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, on Sunday, police said. The officer was wounded but "returned fire, and that shooter was put down," said Bradley Wentlandt, the police chief in nearby Greenfield, who briefed reporters. Investigators who picked through the building afterward found four bodies inside the temple and two other victims outside, plus the gunman, Wentlandt said. At least three wounded were being treated at Milwaukee's Froedtert Hospital, spokeswoman Carolyn Bellin told CNN. All three were in critical condition. Family members gathered outside the temple, or gurdwara, told CNN affilliate WTMJ that survivors were being taken to a nearby bowling alley for questioning. One man told the station that his father had been shot several times when he attempted to tackle the gunman; others recounted relatives hiding in closets. Temple spokesman: Hostages held inside Police: Temple shooter presumed dead But Darshan Dhaliwal, one of the gurdwara's leaders, said Sunday afternoon he wasn't sure how many were hurt. "Our dear ones and near ones are injured and hurt, and we are trying to find out what happened," Dhaliwal told WTMJ. And another man told the station, "Nobody's angry here. We're just confused. Was this a random act? Was this directed at us because of the way we look?" The Sikh religion originated in northern India Sikhs believe in one god, in reincarnation and equality among all people regardless of race or religion. Sikh men are identifiable by their beards and turbans, but often confused for Hindus or Muslims. There are about 25 million Sikhs in the world, according to the Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund, 700,000 of which live in the United States. Though early reports had suggested there may have been more than one attacker, Wentlandt said officers had not identified any other gunmen. As the search went on, utility crews cut electric and gas service to the building at the request of authorities, said Cathy Schulze, a spokeswoman for area utility We Energies. The police officer wounded in the assault is a 20-year veteran who was shot multiple times, Wentlandt said, but he was expected to survive. The officer was sent to the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin in Oak Creek, south of Milwaukee, after a 911 call about 10:25 a.m. (11:25 a.m. ET). State Rep. Josh Zepnick, who represents much of the Milwaukee area's Sikh community, said he was "torn to shreds" by the attack. "It's a very peace-loving community that has successfully integrated and assimilated into the metropolitan Milwaukee area," Zepnick told CNN afilliate WTMJ. He said he was a friend of the temple's president, whose status was unknown Sunday afternoon. And state Rep. Mark Honadel, who represents the area, called the attack "craziness." "Unfortunately, when this type of stuff hits your area, you say to yourself, 'Why?' But in today's society, I don't think there's any place that's free from idiots." The temple has a congregation of 250 to 400, according to its website. "I just want to say this temple was built a number of years ago and there have never been any problems with this temple," Oak Creek Alderman Dan Jakubczyk said. "They've been a plus to this city and to my district." |

Find out if the gunman was another waco like the one in Colorado. His game was to end gun posession by creating public outrage against guns with a massacre.

I just read a news source that said this guy thought they were Muslims. I wouldn't put anything past this government right now. The waco's are coming out of the woodwork.
