Default You bought another gun??

Went to the local gun shop today to look for some reloading items. While I was there, a rifle waaay over in the corner, not on the rack, caught my eye. It was a beat up old SKS, with bayonet attached, flip elevation sights and looking nasty as hell. I walked over and picked it up, checked it out, flipped the bayonet over... LOL... the owner says, "You like that? I just took it in this morning." Interesting, I says... How much? He thinks for a minute and says "Buck fifty"

OK... Here. I got 20 bucks on me now, I'll give ya the rest next week.

So, I got an old Chinese SKS... with a bayonet! Cool!

That is a helluva deal. I saw a really messed up Yugoslavian SKS all scratched and dented up for $400 at a pawn shop here. Gone a week later.

$150 IS a good deal! I think he just wanted to move it. As is, where is. Made a quick buck and everyone is happy. It'll be a nice plinking gun. And a bit radical, too! Even better! You know I'm gonna have to stick that bayonet through the target before we're done!

EDIT: I'll post pics when I have it.

150 for a sks these days is way cheap. Nice find. I would have bought it even though I didn't want one.

I love my SKS. Its an old Norinco also and shoots great. I paid $299.00 for mine with 100 rds of ammo. It had never been fired but the stock was beat a little. Cleaned the fireing pin before takeing it to the range as it was full of grease still. As accurate at 300yds as I can be.

+1

I don't want an SKS, but at that price I'd own it. I'd figure out something to do with it, whether it be make it a gift or trade fodder or whatever.

I like it for the simple fact it is an inexpensive battle carbine that will lay down some serious firepower.Try messing with this old cripple and I have 200 rounds on stripper clips ready for rock n roll.Thinking real hard about the SG Gunworks bullpup for it.

say it was a good deal after you shoot it. if it prints a 30" group at 25yds, youll know why it was old off.

I miss the days of the $300 romanian AK's, bought a couple of them but now they're up to $700 plus, ouch.

Good score! I couldn't have turned that deal down either.

Picked this rifle up over the weekend. Took it out and fired 120 rds on Saturday. My OP said it was a Chinese SKS. I was mistaken, it is a Yugoslavian SKS. Bobski... this SKS is good for 4" group at 50 yds all day long. Impressive weapon.
