I think you have to send a PM to the member with the ad.

I really do not understand the reasoning behind that.

Because you don't need a long thread...
bantering back and forth on a classified ad and it's description..... where the original content will surely get lost. PM the seller directly and they will answer all questions.....

Expanding on what Ozo's already stated; there gets too be alot of excess posting and in some cases, it becomes a bidding war on the board. Matters are best dealt with directly and it's much less hassles. It's been tried before and it just loads down the board with mostly "PM sent" messages.

I've seen a few forums where they had multiple moderators just for the buy/sell/trade forum. With our policy, we don't have anyone who has to focus there.

The reasoning behind that is, the Buy/Sell.Trade forum is NOT a discussion forum. If you want to ask questions, PM or email the seller. The Buy/Sell,Trade Forum is a FREE classified section for your use. You choose to use it or not.
TFF, if you read the forum guidelines, is not responsible for any transactions carried out on that forum. So again, it's your choice as to whether you use it or not. We don't have a dog in that hunt. Hopefully, the above will help you understand why replies are not allowed. |
