Default New To Forum- Great Site!!

Hi all, I'm a life- long gun owner and shooting enthusiast. I have collected since I was a kid, and have owned many unusual pieces, but this one has me stumped. Found it in the bottom of a tool box at an estate sale.

It's a single shot .22, finish and fit is pretty low- grade. The cross hatching on the ejector button, break release, hammer etc. looks like it was done with a file by hand. No markings, no serial number, and I've had it completely apart. Anyone have an idea of a likely manufacturer?

Thanks for your thoughts in advance.

Eric

Welcome to the forum! I don't know squat about the gun, might be home made for all I know. But, someone with knowledge will be along soon to maybe help you out with this one.

Lamentations Chapter 5:
1. Remember, O LORD, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach.
2. Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.
3. We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers [are] as widows.
5. Our necks [are] under persecution: we labour, [and] have no rest.
16. The crown is fallen [from] our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!
21. Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.

Workmanship's too nice for a handmade souvenir from a third world country, and my guess is it's a handyman special by someone with access to a machine shop.

Is the barrel rifled?

Yep, the barrel is rifled, and the rear site slit looks like it was hand filed into the breach also.

Welcome to the site from across the pond, Eric;
It is a great place to chat; the people here really care about each other and like to help each other whatever way they can. Enjoy. But beware--TFF can become addicting.

As for the gun...others may have ideas.

I think it is a very nice example of what can be done by a talented machinist, not nearly on the level of of rhmc's work , but I like it and I wonder, is it accurate?

The pistol is suprisingly accurate; I shoot it in my basement range at 10 meters and it groups well. The ejector spring almost projects the hot brass at muzzle velocity LOL. I aim for open collars on range mates.
