Recent events...
What with the "Arab Spring" movement going to hell in a handbasket - as if it were ever an achievable concept to begin with, let's not forget Obbie's sacked "green" czar, Van Jones, calling for and predicting an "American Spring" (or something along those lines) just as the "Occupy Wall Street" disturbances were gaining momentum. I'd like to think that bit of media-hyped hoopla was pretty much the beginning and end of Jones' dreams, but I wouldn't bet on it.
