I use the paint program in my computer. Nearly all computer have it. Just right click the saved picture fi8le on your computer and select 'open with' and another window will pop up and the paint program will be an option. pick it and go to edit on the toolbar and select stretch/skew and reduce the percetage values of the picture equally until it fits on the page without scroll bars. then save it and upload it here. The whole process takes like 30 seconds..

You don't get to paint from the photo Beth. Click Start>All Programs>Accessories>Paint and open the Microsoft Paint program. Then, from the File menu, open the picture you want. Select Resize from the Image menu. The best size to change your pictures to for posting is 800x600 pixels for landscape and 600X800 pixels for portrait.

Hey, when you have a gun in your hand you can put what ever you want where ever you want. And yes, that is a smile on my face. Shooting is therapy.

Yes there are many different ways to resize pics, mainly reslecting the pixel sizes you want.

Or then there's what I do, trial and errors.

I use the free version of Picasa from google. You can crop, add text and about anything you need to do with a picture Jim.
Makeing them to the right size is what I use the most on it.

Plus 1 on Microsoft Office Picture Manager. It has been around a long time and it is all I use. Very easy to edit pictures in any way you want, and to me is easy to learn. Like you said it comes with Microsoft Office Suite. Every one has their favorite way to resize, this is just my choice. I usually resize to 640 X 480 pixels, works great. Hope this helps someone.

This is the way I do it also. Tip! If you know you are going to post the pictures you are taking, then use the smallest, or most, pictures your camera will allow you to take. These smaller pictures usually don't need to be resized.

I use Microsoft Office Picture Manager. It just couldn't get any easier, at least for me.

Resizing with the attachment feature in email and sending it to myself. Which is like traveling from your finger to your thumb by going around your elbow!*()#^&#*%<!!$*!!

Simply resize: Office Picture Manager.

Real photo editing: GIMP

Plus 1; except for Windows 7 doesn't have it. So, I use Windows Live Photo Gallery.

It's still here in Windows 7 if you have MS Office. It's part of the office suite.

Start >> All Programs >> Microsoft Office >> Microsoft Office 2010 Tools >> Microsoft Office Picture Manager

Thanks!

My computer is new and I hadn't looked in the MS Office "Tools" section yet. So, I didn't realize it was there.

Duh! (I feel stupid!)
