James Arness was an actor and Matt Dillon was his character. As an example it could be stated that James Arness played the character of Matt Dillon. Matt Dillon was not my favorite character but he is close to it. I think I have a DVD series of Gunsmoke.

John Wayne and any character he played. He was by far the best in my mind.

I loved that show! I bought dvd of it and it still isn't to bad. I used to love The Rat Patrol and bought a dvd of the show. It was pretty bad!
I will have to say "Lucas Macain" still love to watch the show!! Always a lesson in morality in it!! The old shows are great, the dvd's of the old tv shows sell fast at the stores. |

I think I would go with Tom Selleck as Magnum, PI.

when i was a kid i ate, slept, and breathed the RAT Patrol, and when i finally got all the seasons on DVD i watched them all the way through in one sitting(50+ 45minute episodes!).
for newer TV shows i like Supernatural, Justified, Revolution, The Walking Dead, The Vampire Diaries(though i like the genre more than the actual show), Game of Thrones(too many bedroom scenes but still a good show), and True Blood, which is kind of like the SitCom version of The Vampire Diaries.

What does that have to do with your favorite TV show?
