I don't know of any "Red Label" model 290.

The 290 is just a run of the mill .22 autoloader. Most of em were just like the 190...hardwood stock and nothing fancy to look at.
They did make a Deluxe version with a walnut stock that had basketweave-pattern stamped checkering. I've seen two of those and neither one had any sort of "red letter" or "red label" about them. Do you have any more info? |
