I w have voted for the Marlin but only the older ones. I sent an e-mail to Henry which was ignored. Nothing unusual there. But when I fired off an angry retort, the CEO of Henry responded, apologized for the lack of response and personally answered my query.

I have a lot of respect for that.

HOSSFLY - great idea ! Did you do the work yourself or farm it out ?

I'm poor- I do everything myself
About Henry i've had great luck with their customer service- Used to talk to Tony who was a i THINK CEO or something yrs back when they were trying to get the Bigboy SASS legal. Course once they did he kinda dissappered But was once sent a free rear sight for a youth mdl & then later (yrs) asked about a regular lever for my mares leg & they sent me a free one plus a taller front site cause i beeched about POI vs POA!

I recently found one of these used for $170....action is like buddah....

It is not as accurate as my Marlin 39TDS off the bench but WOW...it is so much faster and smoother....and both of these little carbines are more accurate than I can shoot them offhand with the irons.

These are awesome guns with no jams and they don't gum up and fail to fire.Everyone should have at least one of these guns.I have one with the Octagon longer barrel and have been shooting it once a week since I bought it.I like shooting Winchester 1255 ft per second 40 grains in the white brick and CCI Blazers and Mini-mags out of it.

Sweden...

I had two Winchester 9422's. Still have the original plain 1972 model but my 9422 XTR went to Sweden with a friend of mine.

That XTR was simply beautiful and wish I still had it.

Congrats!

My dad (87 yrs. old) bought a Henry .22 about 10 years ago and I've never shot it.....next time I go to my dads I'm going to ask him if I can shoot it.

Then, I might just need to go buy one.
