The following is a narrative taken from a 2008 Sunday morning televised "Meet The Press'.

From Sunday's 07 Sept. 2008 11 : 48 : 04 EST, Televised "Meet the Press" THE THEN Senator Obama was asked about his stance on the American Flag.

General Bill Gann' USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain WHY he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.

The General stated to Obama that according to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171...

During rendition of the national anthem, when the flag is displayed, all present (except those in uniform) are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Or, at the very least, "Stand and Face It".

NOW GET THIS !!

'Senator Obama replied :

"As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides". "There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression.." "The anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all that sort of thing."

(ARE YOU READY FOR THIS???)

Obama continued : "The National Anthem should be 'swapped' for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing'. If that were our anthem, then, I might salute it. In my opinion, we should consider reinventing our National Anthem as well as 'redesign' our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It's my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we, as a Nation of warring people, conduct ourselves like the nations of Islam, where peace prevails - - - perhaps a state or period of mutual accord could exist between our governments ......"

When I become President, I will seek a pact of agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation, have placed upon the nations of Islam, an unfair injustice which is WHY my wife disrespects the Flag and she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past".

I'm speechless. Not saying it's untrue but as a God fearing, America loving, Old fashoned, gun toteing country boy I need to research these "statements". If there true how in high hell could ANYONE say these things and still go on to become the President of the greatest nation to ever exist on the face of the planet???????????????

Oh but your wrong...he is an idiot all right..and he would say something that offhanded and he has...several times...and he thinks this way every day. He is an anti american terrorist. It doesnt matter if these exact words were not his, he has said worse words than this. He is our direct enemy. I dont get why your upset..its a FACT that he refused to wear the flag pin. Its a FACT that he refused to salute the flag during the national anthem. Its a FACT that he and his counterparts have said worse things about our country. He sat in a so called church that screamed anti american slander and damed america every week. Becouse as long as he is willing to give **** away to the welfare people, I'm talking about the ones that refuse to get a job, and just live off the system. They will keep voting for him.

The University of Colorado just published its prediction for the outcome of this election. They have correctly predicted the winner since 1980. They predict Romney will win! Lets hope they are right again.

You just stated facts that are true. This is why Obama should not be reelected. Who ever makes up this crap is only cheapening the true facts. How many folks will read this kind of stuff and then find out it is a lie. They may then think all the facts are lies and vote for this guy.

This guy has to go. We have the facts to prove that. No need to make up lies. Conservatives should expect to be held to a higher standard and be proud of it.

We all want to believe those things that "feel" right to us. We can't go by feelings, we need to research what we hear, and see. I'm sure I've passed along some things that I thought were true, and were not. I didn't know it wasn't true, because I didn't question the validity of it, and I trusted my source.
