Default RC Helicoptor

While walking through the mall today I watched a man flying one of the little mini RC helicoptors around. I said WTH and bought one of them. It is the Viefly 689 model and it is a blast to fly but battery life is only around 7 mins at one time. WTF? Does anybody else have one of these?

Oh man those are great during down time at work! I used to go through like 1 a week because the propellers and what not would get messed up after a few good crashes! I would just return it to target and get a new one. It's been a few years, I wonder if they are any more durable now?

Are they easy to fly? If I had one, the kitty's day would be interesting, say like 7 minutes each day interesting. Also, I think it would be cool to get an RC helicopter big enough to put a cam on and record where I went.

I've been looking at that 4 blade flying box type. That looks like fun.

My other hobby Expect to pay around $1200-2400 for a true hobby grade RC heli. The department store/mall stuff is junk in comparison and are made extremely easy to fly for the masses but can barely fly . More expensive than my guns for sure but not as bad a motorcycle roadracing

A nice flight to watch..
