Default Browning High Power 9mm

I bought a really nice Browning High Power 9mm today. Serial #245PY171XX. Left side of slide says "Browning Arms Company Morgan, Utah and Montreal P.Q" Right side of slide says "Made in Belgium By Fabrique Nationale Herstal" Condition is 95%+. No box but has the owner's manual and the zipper pouch black with gold Browning lettering. Could someone tell me when this gun was made and what it might be worth?

This weapon was made in 1982.

Sounds as though you picked up a gem.

I have an Hi Power Practical that is a favorite sooter for both SoMo and me. I frequently carry, CCW, it with extra capacity factory military magazines.

OK so it is a standard model Hi-Power and it's got adjustable sights so
Exc Shape $667
Good Shape $502

Southern didn't really need the pics *that* much. It helped, but he mainly wanted to drool over pics of your new gun. [grin]
