they made the majority of the black berets for the army too, sickening. Hard to find anything made these days that doesn't have a made in china stamp on it.
french berets made by the chinese for US athletes... awesome.

Well, my firearms are made in either the USA or the Czech Republic...oddly enough, most of my clothes seem to be made in Honduras, Bangladesh or Mexico.
Ditch the Chinese uniforms and have one of our few remaining American textile companies make them, screw this "international" crap - this whole competition is all about nations. Interesting that all the lawmakers quoted are Demonrats... Last edited by armoredman; 07-13-2012 at 02:15 PM.. |

I too am sick Chinese goods, but you see Harry, I have no choice. Now if you outraged legislators would get on the ball and impose fair tariffs so that American made goods could compete, we might get somewhere. But you all don't want to, do you? What we pay for the various foreign made goods on the market amounts to a direct taxation of the American people for the purpose of foreign aid.
Our gutless wonder politicians tend to bribe the world with trade agreements regardless of the impact on our economy. In the case of China, I believe we have done everything possible, even to the detriment of the American people, to make China succeed in their little excursion into capitalism. It amounts to a bribe for peace. It's hard to hate someone whose making you rich.

I think the Olympic uniforms/hats should be made by AMICK Tactical, hahahaa....
Errosion of our dollar is in great part thanks to good old China; they can pull the plug on us whenever they want.

I got this fro the site,weazelzippers.com
Lawmakers were livid to discover that the United States’ Olympic team uniforms were made in China. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) even suggested “they should take all the uniforms, put them in a big pile and burn them and start all over again.” The company who designed the uniforms, Ralph Lauren, has received less scrutiny. Few outlets have noted that Ralph Lauren himself is a prominent contributor to President Obama and the Democratic Party. According to the Center for Responsive Politics, Lauren has given $7,300 to Obama since 2008, and more than $35,000 to the Democratic National Committee. |

I just have a hard time buying into the pious sanctimony of our legislatureres bashing where the uniforms were made, when they themselves condone sending our businesses to other countries. No sympathy here. We dug our grave. ![]()

I don't think ole Harry really cares about the origin of these uniforms. He is bought and paid for by Big Labor unions.
