Default Shotgun Restoration Finished

Shotgun restoration finally finished! It took awhile but here are some pics. Let me know what you think! WesternField 565. It took good bit of time but I lacked the resources and experience needed to make it a speedy job.

Special thanks to Stone Chimney and the trigger work they help with, really appreciate it!

You brought it a long ways, looks great!
What finish did you use on the barrel/receiver?
EDIT, the pics are a bit grainy on my end.

I parkerized the parts with a Manganese Phosphate solution to give it a darker grey tint.

I used a friends sandblasters and thought the blasting material was fine but in fact it was course, so when I stripped the parts to bare metal, it was a little on the rough side, which I wasnt happy with. But I think it still turned out very nicely for my first try.

Looks great! I have the same disease. I spend $1000 worth of work restoring a gun that's worth $250 in the end. Driven to it, unable to help myself, but it's fun, time well spent.
