Default It's a wonder we aren't all dead...

what with all those evil ugly-guns hiding in closets, waiting to sneak out in the night and kill us poor unsuspecting folks.

Report puts Illinois first in assault guns

CHICAGO, March 4 (UPI) -- A new study from an anti-gun group says Illinois is the largest manufacturer of so-called assault-rifles, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

The Violence Policy Center says six Illinois gun makers -- Armalite Inc., DS Arms Inc., Eagle Arms, Les Baer Custom Inc., Rock River Arms Inc., and Springfield Armory Inc. -- have produced at least 109,000 such weapons since a federal ban was imposed on the manufacture of 19 similar guns in 1995.

The Springfield Armory, the group says, does not appear to make them now.

The 1994 ban -- which is due to expire this year -- does not cover the weapons discussed in the study. Anti-gun groups want the ban, which is set to end in September, to be renewed and expanded to outlaw semiautomatic rifles that closely resemble the design and firepower of the 19 models of banned weapons, including Uzis, MAC-10s and AK-47s. President Bush has said he would sign legislation continuing the ban should it reach his desk.

If Bush signs anything renewing the AWB......I will not vote for him in November......

He will loose the election if he ticks off gun owners....

Why would you vote for him anyway? He has promised to sign the bill if it lands on his desk. He's TELLING you that he doesn't support your rights.

Even if the AWB is not renewed this year, you can expect to see a new (possibly stronger) AWB next year or in the years to come. Bush will sign that too. Don't vote for him if you care about your rights. He's a traitor to our 2nd Amendment just like he's been a traitor to the rest of the Constitution.
