Default DON'T LET ME BOTHER ANYONE!!

BUUUUT where in hell is anybody? Anyway!

This is the parent board of TFF and all of Steve's boards so where are you people???!!

I guess the VVMBB is going to be put in a retirement home where family members can fergit about'im and let'im DIE!

I can't speak for Rooter, Hope, or Sixtygunner, but I'm starting to take the snub personal and it is affecting my PTSD symptoms and ergo my med levels.

So come on folks, help ol Berto stay at a low level of Prozac and start posting on this forum.

C'mon veterans and non vets alike, post on this board and lets keep it alive! If not, just shoot me now and put me outta my misery.

Sorry berto I have had to fall out of formation here but so many daily living activities have croped up I can't keep up.

However, I am sure the troops will get themselves together and help you out. If not, then you can start kicking butt.

Yes, how about it you non-vets, how about a little conversation here. The troops here have a lot of answers and you just may have a question they would enjoy talking about.............Well, how about it? Just don't sit there and read, lets get that conversation going. berto is waiting!!

I'm here every day, Berto, and try to post when I have something useful to say. Will try to do better.

Hi Hope. We've been missin' you. Glad to hear you're alright, though busy.

Pickenup,

It gets worse without my meds, brother. Just been bouncing off of the walls in this empty hall and was beginning to take it personal that no one wanted to talk to me.

I'm finally getting around to having a bit more time. If anyone remembers I had made an announcement in the Gen Discussion Froum about me being heavily involved in getting a board software transfer done and I would be in here as time permitted.

That alone took several days this past weekend and now we are working out the small kinks ...

I would much rather have been doing something else as I am not a computer guru and niether is my board partner so it takes us a lot longer than it would if I were one of them gurus ...

OK, you can keep your meds.
But someone keep an eye on the dosage.

We’ve been as busy as a long tailed cat, in a room full of rocking chairs, the last few weeks. Will be for a while longer too.

Trying to get the yard cleaned up, ready for winter. When I say cleaned up, I am talking about vehicles AND 2 trailers (full of stuff) and misc. We have 3 trucks, and a Bronco that we are letting people part out. Had to move them all around in the yard, to get them in the right place to work on them, and get them out of the way for the yard sale.

Last time we had a yard sale, it lasted 6 weeks. Got rid of almost a dozen trailers AND the crap that was on/in them. When we have a sale, we are serious about it. We have been getting stuff together for a while now, and this weekend it will start. Not sure how long it’s gonna go, but I do know that when we close it down there will be a truck load of stuff going to be donated.

10-20-30 (or more ) years ago, I could throw this stuff around ALL DAY LONG. Now days, at times, I “almost” need help just getting myself up the stairs. I don’t move as fast as I used to. Anyone know what I mean? Hope to have all this done by the end of next month. Then I can spend more time doing other things, like posting online.

On a serious note, I don't think it was Dioxin that caused the main harm to the Vietnam vet. If you want to check out my thoughts as to why I say that, there's a thread around here (Politically incorrect) that gives a lot of info. I think you have the same thing the 'gulf war vets' and the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome groups have: (Main problem is autoimmune immune system)

And this is why I think so

To find out, ask your doctor to check these basics
and give this to your doctor, with the questionnaire filled out
(These last 3 web pages didn't come open for me just now, but I hope they do for you)

You're right Berto---seems as if the national news has grabbed up all our time---it has us so depressed and pensive, we can't oblige a visit any longer. I suppose I am as guilty as the next for not taking the time I should to get on board and jack my jaws....sit like a damn dummy and watch those plays and replays on FOX and MSNBC ----almost get to know the characters who flick on and off the screen--not the commnetators, mind you, but the poor souls who the camera caught for a second or two. It's kinda like watching the Iraq war when it first started---the camera catching the looters hauling stuff away---eventually those scenes would be burned in your memory and you'd see Old Abba Dabba over and over again. Yeah Pilgrims, you ought to get on here and tell us about what's going on in your neighborhood---the price of gas and the domestic tranquillity in your lives---maybe we ought to start a kinda contest---perhaps label it, CAN YOU TOP THIS!!!!! Just trsh talk so much bull that perhaps we can make each other giggle for a bit and ease the strain as we hve come to know it---wanna dance??? Chief

Mother,

Have you read up on PTSD?

If not then talk to sixtygunner or me. He is still trying to get adjudicated for PTSD and I am 100% disabled due to PTSD.

Mine was brought about by 3 tours of duty in the Mekong Delta and actions that occurred while serving there. And losses suffered there.

I know what ya mean there Chief about Fox and the reruns throughought each day. Just my opinion of course here but I do like them over other networks but I only watch it the one time...

Yeah berto ... Just last week I received "ANOTHER" denial letter from the illustrious VA and it was just like mentioned above with Fox News .... The letter was just another rerun containing the exact same wording ...

Contacted my VSO and I am to take it to him next week so we can do the appeal thing or whatever it is you call it ... Of course I think I mentioned that this VSO is a new one and I have a lot of faith in him so we'll see where this one goes as I never used them (DAV) before.

I've used reps from the American Legion and MOPH before and recently switched over to a VSO from the DAV. Been so damn long now that I really can't remember if I am on my 7th, 8th or 9th year now ...

Somewheres around there anyway ...

If they think I will give up and go away I have news for them ... I ain't quittin till I have taken my last breath

Six Out!

I do understand what you are talking about. In fact in the 1960's my husband was in the Navy & helped to process the first PTSD people ... at the Guam facility. So, I know a little bit about it.

Now, if this is a stand alone issue, then you should not suspect the chemical I'm talking about. It would NOT be the cause of medical problems. IF, however, you have other ailments not just PTSD (which could be the CNS harm of this chemical) ... such as fatigue ... and quite a few of this assortment AND FATIGUE ... then it SHOULD be considered. It doesn't matter to have the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome diagnosis ... but these are the same 'symptoms' that I am referring to.
