And you Americans think YOUR cops are strict ?......

A man who broke wind at an Adelaide shopping centre today wasn't the only one affected — police and nearby customers found themselves coughing too after the vulgar incident.

The 42-year-old man was arrested at 10.15am this morning at Elizabeth Shopping Centre, police said.

Brendan Day, who was eating with his family at the food court, managed to film the man’s arrest on his mobile phone.

The video shows two policemen coughing and pouring water into their eyes as the accused is led out of the shopping centre in handcuffs.

"We were sitting in the food hall near 'Benny's Baked Beans Emporium' and all of a sudden there was this terrible odor," Mr Day told ninemsn.

"There was a man screaming and yelling… we ran over to get a better look and at that stage they had him on the ground," Mr Day said.

"Because it all happened just inside the doorway, the wind was causing the odor to spread.

"Everyone was just coughing and dry-retching, some for at least 20 minutes after."

The man was charged with breaching bail and creating a public nuisance and will face court on Friday.

Mr Day said it took police at least five to 10 minutes to "control" the man, but were quick to escort him from the shopping centre.

Did they collect evidence to present to the judge and jury? No gas from his ass they must pass. Did they prove intent, felonious assault by flatulence?? Oh oh the evidence is blowing in the wind, gone with the wind, nothing but fair air around the gentleman today, ah geez, I'm gonna hurt myself if I don;t stop. I leave you with these words of wisdom, "If you feel a fart to start spread your cheeks apart." Then point at the nearest old lady and ask her if she would like a breath mint.

Okay, okay, I will go sit in a corner now.....alone, with my bowl of chili beans, pork sausages and homemade sauerkraut spiced up with hot peppers and garlic.

this is political correctness for you too soon grump , well maybe not for you you , but the USA you , give its , hmm 5-10 yep , wear a T shirt with a noose with a witch on it and your carted away here , being offencive to the lady PM .. yep , ditch the witch was the campaign , now they lock ya up and fine you for insulting socialists

when she was a junior politician she bared her backside to the Queen ( 76 ?) , but that was ok , she was all for the worker ..

Watch for the Bean Ban Jack. Hey there may be a way to make a buck here, put a cork in a fancy bag, name it the methane muter or something, get creative!

but to lock him up ? i'll also wager he's not just told folks who complained , he's "threatened them " ( what? i'll come on over and lay one on your sammich ") or something with a lot of F's , drunks

and thats why he was carted away

me and my dog would be felons.I had heard of a story here like that.That is just going too far.Sometimes it just cant be helped and not intentional.Although I have done that shopping.Poot on one aisle and leave qiuckly and try and watch the reactions-lil evil in me.
