Thumbs up Feeling like a puter whiz...

...at the moment anyway. Went out shooting and downloaded some Pic's into the hard drive. Then started looking for ways to get the problem with the Verizon wireless on-line bill pay window resolved. Finally found the culprit...Something called "Freesurfer" uninstalled the leetle sheet and problem resolved. Went to check the TFF chat and it works now also...Heck it only took a year! Any of the rest of ya need any software help and ya got a year to spare for me to help fix the problem...Let me know! Time to eat lunch now...

SG, SoMo and I run regularly a program called, free, BTW, Ad-aware (lavesoft product) that keeps little things like that sneaky thins out of the registry. Even with a good firewall program, we have Zone Alarm Pro, things continue to sneak into the registry.

The first time will take a while and probably find about 200-300 items, or more. After that running it once every week to 10 days will be fast and keep that junk out.

Try it!

I work as a computer tech and i see peoples computers always jammed up with spyware, most i ever found on a customers computer was 952 instances of spyware, it's the new record holder
You may wanna try spy-bot search and destroy from www.safer-networking.org it's also free and it kinda of overlaps adaware to remove pretty much all your stuff and for the real tricky browser HiJackers that change your hompages and navigation pages try "HiJack This"(try google search) great tool but be warned it will stop your kazaa from working because it'll remove your registry entries for adware programs needed to run it

Use Kazaa Lite, it's Kazaa without the adware.

Most adware/spyware cleaners such as Ad-aware have a feature where you can tell it to ignore certain items it has found if you know you need them to run a specific program. Once they are on the Ignore list, they won't be picked up in future scans.
