A rather dumb question, but here goes. Can .22LR rimfire SNAKESHOT be used in a Ruger Mark II semi-automatic pistol?

It will fire safely, but it won't cycle. You just have to cycle it by hand.

I wouldn't use either plastic tipped or crimped brass type in a semi-auto, I have used them in my revolver (the brass type) and it doesn't have much of an effect.

I agree with what the others have said, the shot in those cartridges is very fine, and the rifling will deform and the results of shooting it will prove my point!

It won't hurt your semi-auto either. I shoot it all the time in mine.

I agree with Pincone, I have used both and they will do nothing but jam a bit in semi-auto and in a revolver, .22 I peppered a pop can at 10yrds and it was just like that, "peppered"..alot would go through and some would glance with an angle. (and that was using the 22mag plastic tipped.)
