What a joke! TFF is blocked due to "content"... yet just to be a smart*** i logged into a couple of "websites" i have membership with and they came up just fine!!!!

And to add an aditional little jab i downloaded a couple of videos and saved them to the usb thumbdrive i brought with me.....

Funny the things i wind up trying when i originally go there just to see if i could upload pics to craigslist.

Someone should make a website that a person can go to and "channel" a second webpage thru to avoid those nasty little freedom robbing politically cleansing cybrary filters....

I love how the taxpayers have to pay for people's access to porn, but not something that's actually protected under the Constitution! Amazing!

For some reason McAfee lists this site as a site with significant security risks. That may be why the library restricts access. This has been brought up before and I don't think it has ever been addressed.

I looked up the siteadvisor McAfee uses and found that the warning is because they can't find anything to test.

Did you ask about it? They might block it because of minors. As to someone's porn reference, I'm guessing they do their best to block that too.

Well, chances are that the software used to block the site is a package of pre-selected site themes. The folks who work at the public library probably aren't going to tailor the software to meet their needs. It's entirely possible that they don't know what is blocked and what is not. For instance, I've had a site blocked at work that made absolutely no sense. http://www.novasep.com/ It was an accident... Go figure...

I registered and logged into McAfee advisor and left a positive review. I had to register with Advisor 1st so I'll crank up the spam killer controls now.
