Default What i carry everyday

This is what I carry everyday, I just the smith&wesson m&p40c today, I also have a surefire g2 olive drab (I want the E2D) and my knife is the SWMP1BSD, I keep hornady critical defense in the pistol, what do you think, I'm only 21 but I think I know what quality items are?

I carry an SA XD 9 sc with 13 rnd small mag and pearce finger ext. I only load it with 10+1 rounds to ease the pressure on the spring. In addition, I have been known to carry some O.C. in my pocket in case non lethal force is needed.

What matters is it has to be totally reliable, you can shoot it well, it is comfortable enough to carry so you will have it with you everyday and you have complete confidence in it.

I have zero first hand knowledge of the M&P but what I have heard about them has been generally positive and I feel the 40 S&W is an excellent caliber that is a good combo of power and compact enough to give good capacity. Good luck.

I think the only issue with the gun you carry is the size. But, if you can conceal it well, and its not so heavy that you leave it at home sometimes. Its a good carry piece for you. Just keep in mind, there are smaller guns; more suited to concealed carry.

It works well for me I'm a bigger guy so I can conceal it good, my buddy carries a ruger p94 I think he's nuts its a tank of a gun to carry all day, but he's nuts a thinks polymer is garbage and wants an all metal gun, but ya I would like to carry a revolver of some sort with crimson trace, buts that later down the road.

I carry a 1911A1 clone every day, all day, and I have no problems with the size at all. As a matter of fact there are times that I don't know it's there.

I wear steel-toe boots frequently for work. I rarely notice when I am wearing them. I only think about it if I go quickly from work boots to something light (running shoes, cowboy boots, etc.).
It's the same way with carrying a heavy gun. Once you get used to it, you notice the absence far more than the presence.

That said, I greatly prefer getting used to lightweight guns.

My 1911 has never let me down yet. It's actually not that heavy in comparison to the RIA I had before.

I'm a retired LEO...35 yrs of service, I still carry the gun I carried most of that time. A S&W 539....with a little trick work done to it. Since I have a small holster making business I carry in one of my own holsters.

Since I'm an oldtimer, I carry an old gun. I think it will do the job if need be.

I carried a Kahr K9 for some time, but switched to Sig P220. Lighter gun, better stopping power and 2 more rounds in the mag and up the spout. I do really prefer da/sa and the Kahr is DA only.
