Support Lowes - The Firearms Forum

We need to support Lowes for its decision to pull its advertising from that pro muslim program as they are now getting a lot of heat for it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. I already boycott their single biggest competitor for other reasons. This just gives me more reason to shop at Lowes.

we do have a home dumpo here and its the best i have ever been in (not saying much) but lowes took a stand and for once it's not what all people like. hahaha to bad, so sad.

Always gotten a million times better service at Home Depot, and the Lowe's out here is much less contractor grade (I have a much better time finding odd screws and bolts etc. at Home Depot). That being said, Home Depot took a hit when on my last visit I asked for a putty knife and a guy brought me to the concrete trowels. On the flip side, no one even tried to help me at Lowes!

I already shop at Lowes more than the Depot. I don't know about the Depot but Lowe's gives me a 10% military discount (I'm retired Army). My son asked me what I wanted for Christmas, without hesitation, I told him a Lowe's Gift Card.

Glad I saw this. I had no idea about Home Depot. We won't be shopping there any longer. Thankfully Lowes opened a store this year in the small town we live in.

The house I live in was built entirely form products from Lowe's. I used to have a contractor account with them, that I have now dropped due to the fact that I don't need it any longer. Being a DAV, and with the contractor account, I got an amazing discount from them. The only thing I don't like about Lowe's is that everything in the store is advertized with both english, and spanish. I guess you just can't have everything! The folks that work at Lowe's are about like anywhere else, sometimes you get a knowledgeable sales person, sometimes you get a dummy!

I stopped shopping at the dumpo a long time ago. The one's we have here on the Coast is no help at all. Their sales people are dumb as a doorknob.
Lowe's on the other hand, you can ask a question and if the person does not know the answer he or she will get someone that knows his or her stuff.
I haven't stepped foot in the orange place in several years.

Sounds like my Lowe's shopping experiences will be much more pleasant, surrounded by a better class of people. Stay strong, Lowe's - the folks who are attacking you have probably never set foot in your stores, and couldn't find one if they were standing in the parking lot out front.

we have Lowes, HD, and Menards but none get much of my business. if I need lomber I go to a local independant lumber yard and get good quality products. if I want hardware I go to a local independant hardware store and have a better selection. in general I try to avoid any large retailer and this reinforces my way. the local guys do not play games, just give me quality, price, and service that is second to none.
