Default Do the people have any say?

What in the world is happening in washington? The liars and thieves we call politicians are stomping all over us with no regard to anything we want. Do we the people have ANY say on anything anymore? It seems like any and all politicians have no regard for the law or common sense. They print and spend money like it was free. They pass ignorant tax laws to saddle us even further in debt. They force healthcare on us with no recourse. Even when we the people protest peacefully, the politicians disregard and laugh at us. The very elected officials that are supposed to be working for us, are stabbing us in the back by voting the wrong way on important issues or even worse, not voting at all. What the heck do we pay them for then to sit on their duffer and collect a big salary and do nothing? We definatly need a cleansing in washington. Governor of California just shafted the people again with the ammunition bill he just signed. Another stab in the back. Politics in america is totally out of control. No amount of pleading, writing, calling, e-mailing our officials seems to do anything. At best all the reply we get is a stupid form letter that in most cases does not even fit the issues at hand. I'm mad as he!! and I think everyone in this country ought to be also. Things do not look good for america.

I'm too old , too stove up and too hardheaded to bend over and let them have at it. I'm going out in a blaze of glory, if it comes to that.

It doesn't seem to care what we have to say at this point. We have an administration that makes a game of attacking the most watched cable news network and the most listened to talk radio host. They couldn't care less about the American people, it seems.

They WANT us to get mad and fight back. It will give Barry an excuse to declare martial law, suspend the Constitution, and rule by decree. All in the name of "public safety and order."

ALL of this, EVERYTHING going on in DC, is ALL a set-up and a scam for the purpose of a complete gov't take over and a socialist transformation of the US.

As I said before, politicians have found they can get re-elected by promises they never keep to people who have no hope. Real concerned citizens, middle class Americans, logical, reasonable, thinking human beings do not count anymore. Our only hope will be to take back our government by any means possible, re-dedicating the Constitution to one nation under God for taxpaying, productive, legal citizens. Career politicians, welfare abusers, criminal types and illegal aliens get one day head start. Lock and Load!

Of course we have a say. It's called voting.
The problem lies in the fact that our country is rampant with voter fraud, and lazy freeloaders.

When the government is backing the fraud (ACORN as 1 case), coupled with 10+ million illegals, countless dead, and multiple votes being cast by one individual, it makes it pretty tough to out the squatters.

So now we have all the above combined with the apathetic rightfull voters that have given up.

Yeah, we have a say. What we're saying is gimme sumpin fo nuttin.
And the majority have no idea that it will eventually lead to anarchy.
In fact, I'd be willing to bet that 70% of our population doesn't know what anarchy is. You could explain it to them, but they wouldn't care.

Greed + apathy + intervention = no hope for the righteous American.
Which leads to more apathy and the eventual total decay of our society.

There is no 'hope' that anything will 'change'.

Hope is an illusion. Change is dream.

Reality bites!

You get what you vote for I guess. Given how enamored people were with someone as poorly qualified as Sarah Palin, I'm not sure that people deserve more. Nobody was crying for new politicians when earlier this decade we were borrowing money from the Chinese for the government to cut checks to people under the guise of tax rebates.

Walien, you continue to say that Pailin is so underqualified. Look at your president. Talk about poorly qualified. Heck, look at Biden. All these years of "experience" and the guy is a kook. If Biden is considered qualified I will take Pailin and Joe the plumber any day.....

The only time we have a voice is at vote time. Other than that, everyone in Washington are pushing their agneda's, and the people be damned.

Sarah Palin was extremely qualified. She is an elected official, a mother, a wife, and natural born American citizen. She is intelligent, compassionate, articulate and embraces qualities more in tune with mainstream America like hunting and fishing. No, she doesn't seem deceitful, cunning, condescending and sly like run-of-the-mill politicians. The problem is we are so used to stereotypical candidates, we don't recognize a refreshing breath of air when we see one. Did I mention she is a "hottie"?

Hottie? Hm. Well, okay. Maybe. After many, many beers. And a tequila shot. Or two.

But as for the rest, come on! She MIGHT make a decent governor, eventually. Although the evidence seems to be against it. She's already resigned once, and that's without the stress of being a VP. Intelligent? She thinks that looking from Alaska to Russia gives her experience in foreign affairs for pete's sake!

Deathbunny,

Beauty is obviously in the eye of the beholder, but your last comment is just wrong and inappropriate. Hopefully you'll have the decency to edit it out.

Well, nobody is forcing anything on you just yet. Nothing has really been passed and healthcare IS a problem in this country. I wouldn't be too upset that people are actually doing their job.

You get a chance to vote every couple of years. You get your say that way. A small subset of the population protesting does not mean that they overrule the legitimate votes of the overall population.

True. It is.

Didn't get a chance to edit, it was done for me.

(Of course, I didn't start by calling her a "hottie" either.)

The latest poll shows 42% in favor of the democrats plan and 54% opposed, why because healthcare is about control of your life not about healthcare. That subset isn't small it's a majority. As far as healthcare being a problem at least it is available to everyone whether you can afford it or not. How will they cut costs? Easy let them die rather than spend all that money treating them. Kill the old citizens so we can cover the illegal aliens.

Wow. There is a HUGE difference between "hottie" and what you wrote. Very HUGE difference. One is often taken as a flattering remark and the other is just downright offensive.

Liberals always pull up Palin as unqualified, but I was almost certain that she didn't run against the Annointed One.

3 relevent quotes:
