I think so, but amazing how many people change thier minds after a couple weeks of it
but anything to do in the bush i like and although some folks dont see the importance of it , work like the above is very important if wild cattle mix with pure bred stock the price of the resulting offspring is only 1/4 or less come sale time, bad for the grazier, bad for our export meat market , bad for the economy same with feral pests they have no resistance to parasites and so carry parasites and breed them up ,and spread them to high dollar value stock, lowering income , raising costs, devaluing our dollar as a whole, and competeing for feed with stock and native critters, generally buggering up the environment and the economy on many levels including nationally so besides being a hoot, its important and i'm hopeing to build a career and a jobs base on this over the next few years, but its slow to build up as the costs, sheeesh, then the paperwork , bloody hell!!! just trucking fuel for choppers out that far is nuts then theres weekly resupply , fuel for vehicles, food for staff, wages for pilots and vehicles crews, and contingency planning, ( plans for everything from wet weather to vehicle roll overs and choppers going down) and any little government dweeb can come and demand to inspect any part of it at any time and they have to be 100% happy or it all stops i tryed gunsmithing, but its too hard and too expencive to set up as i wish, mainly in complying to gov rules and reg's but this , a few more seasons and i should be able to employ 30 - 60 folks a year around the country on a co-op basis doing 3-4 different jobs at different seasons may sound socialists to some but we all work so we all get a cut inc the support workers ( resup. drivers , cook, admin/base staff) its how this country worked before and i'd like to continue that it works cheers jack |
