Default We are the bad asses on the block

The USA is the bad ass of the world. If we put our collective efforts together there is no obstacle that our nation can not overcome. But for whatever reason we have been shamed into a corner and our leaders are content on staying there for the good of the world. As they see it all that is wrong on the planet is some how traced back to the forming of our nation.

We have done so much good in this world that no other nation can make claim to doing even 1/4 of what we have done to better the lives of almost every man woman and child alive today. We are there anytime there is a disaster to lend a hand, even to those that would be our enemy. Why are we then hated and despised so much?

Has our president made it politically correct to belittle the accomplishments of our forefathers, sons and daughters? Are we to be sorry for what ails the planet? Liberal ideology is driving the reputation of our society into the mud. Not that all liberal ideas are bad. But in the big scheme of things there are too many that feel it is of necessity to tear down the country so that the leftist agenda can be established in its purist form. It is unfortunate that in its purest form that it mirrors communist ideology.

People it is time that our country goes back to speaking softly and carrying a big stick. It is time that our leaders stand up to and not bow to the rest of the world. Let us open up that can of whoop ass when called for and not give a damn what some pansy in Belgium thinks about it. Our friends will stand with us and the rest of the world can go to hell as far as I am concerned. We need another leader like Ronald Reagan that is not afraid to stand up for our country and for what is right. We don't need to wait for some one to knock the chip off our shoulder anymore. We need to knock them on their ass long before they step over the line.

Next year let us start getting rid of those in DC that embellish the "We are so sorry attitude" that Obama has been so quick to pass along to those nations that do not like us very well. And Obama definitely needs to go in 2012. If we have 4 more years of his leadership we can kiss all of our liberties and freedoms good bye. Our darkest hour is not yet upon us and if we keep the fire of freedom burning we will not ever see that hour come.

america has no reason to be sorry or cower down for anything we have done. all nations have some problems, but for the most part america has relieved a great amount of human suffering, but still has a long way to go with our own people. we need to overcome the little two bit 'tin god' of a leader and toss out the other assorted 'trash' that is trying to destroy or nation and regain our place in the world. bring back our factories and put our own people back to work. help ourselves for once. first and foremost, we need to 'clean and sweep' our own house and then we can regain our rightful position in the world. rid our country of illegals and terrorists and close our country to further immigration. let some other country take the poor and oppressed. we have enough. regain control of our education system and make it the best in the world and yes, overhaul our healthcare, but NOT GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED. Private industry can do anything that the government can do and do it better and faster and less expensive. it's time that all americans work together. the constitution and bill of rights should be the law of the land, not some two bit federal judge or socialist leader.

Keep both barrels loaded!

No, we are not a nation of candya$$es.

We are a nation very tolerant and trying hard to mergem blend and assimilate. Unfortunately, there those who take advantage of that and use it to damage us.

Our forefathers would take issue with being "the bad asses" on the block (world). They contended that it was paramount that we distance ourselves from international conflict as much as possible. I think we've poked our noses into TOO many places. In doing so, no matter what we do, we look like idiots to someone.

Have all the choices been bad in that regard? No. Have they all been good? Certainly not.

Our forefathers at the time spent their concerns mostly on the survival of the nation. We were a weak military power compared to the European Armies of the era. It was only the fact that we were so far separated from the United Kingdom that it made it possible to win our independence.

As we grew militarily and economically we began to use our strengths to influence policies on the world stage and whenever it became necessary to use military intervention to achieve goals we did so.

I'm looking for our military to stand up and tell the Moron in Chief and the Congress to go "stick it," with their oligarchical tyranny, and insipid notions of "spreading democracy" (which, by the way is bullcrap), and tell the political weenies to stop whizzing all over the constitution and the American people!

Hey military personnel, follow the example of the 2 million people who just marched on Washington. Eventually, you will be asked to fire on the citizens of this country, invade their homes in the interest of confiscating whatever, protecting the citizenry from H1N1, blah blah blah.

We don't have a democracy. We have (had) a republic. HUGE difference. Democracies lead to one thing.....tyranny. We are NOW on that path.

I am in agreement with you on the whole democracy vs. republic issue. Democracies never survive and are doomed to failure by the very nature of the beast. The United States would not ever have survives for as long as it had if it were a democratic form of government.

We haven't reached critical mass yet as far as a total collapse of the republic. If Obama were ti win another term and the Democrats retain control of congress then we would be much nearer the loss of the individual freedoms that we once had. As for the military cooperating with fall of the republic a lot would depend on how many generals and admirals Obama could bring on board with his ideology.
