Default My grandmother is dying

She is 92 and it has been a long time coming. She is in her last days. I am really conserned about my mother. YOu see we are really have a tough time with everything we have to do and she cant get away to spend time with her mother. I am asking for a prayer to somehow free us up so she can see her mother before she goes. We are all under deadlines and time is very short now. It is all because of the economy and I feel real bitter about it. I am locked into a couple of contracts and have no time and i mean no time left. What is worse is that things keep going wrong. Not a break in site.

Keep slugging away at it, a little every day. That is all we can do. And then something will break. I hope and pray.

Prayers have been sent that God will make a way for your and your Mother's situation to ease up enough for the visitation that your Mother needs.

Condolences... I lost my mom at 90 a year ago next week.

Send your mom to be with your grandmother... the other stuff can wait. There are hospice groups or hospital volunteers that can assist.

Cycloneman, my wife wanted badly to go to her fathers funeral, which was held in IL several years ago. Her health is not good, and she was in a very weakened condition when he passed, and a trip to IL was simply out of the question. She was devistated -
But afterward, we were told about several things that happened at the funeral that would have been completely devistating to her. Attending would have been much harder on her than not being able to attend.

God knows all things. IF your wife cannot make this visit, there probably is a very good reason - -

Heavenly Father -
We come before you with a special request.
First, we thank you for the long life this woman has had. We ask that you would ease her passing from this life into eternity, making it without prolonged suffering.

But her daughter wants to see her once more before she goes.
Lord, with you all things are possible.
I ask for your intervention here - I ask that you would change the situation and allow this last visit to take place.

But, Father, I ask that YOUR will be done, even if it is different from our desires.
I know that you see entire situations, past present and future, and trust you to do what is best for all concerned.

Bless this family, father, and strengthen them in the days to come - -

Amen

Well said. I used it as my prayer also. God does know all things, and can do all things.

It will get better... Remember, God will not allow us more than we can bare, it is in the Scriptures. Keep your faith and things will turn around. The ways in which we are tested will only make us stronger. Prayers from us in Montana.

Well

She passed

My mother did get to see her at the end but she was not responsive.

The day before they left to bury her my uncle, my mothers borther had a heart attack. He is ok but of course did not make it to the funeral.

She died about a week before Christmas.

thanks for all the prayers

Cyclone, I am glad her daughter got to see her before she passed.
And I am glad your uncle is OK too.
It would seem God intevened in both cases.

Lord I ask for rest, recuperation, healing and health for this family.
I ask that they would all know with certainty that this lady is in a better place, is happy, and will never again feel pain or the weakness of age.
I ask that you would place a hedge around them, and allow them time to re-cuperate without further unhappiness.
And I ask this in the name of Jesus the Christ, who promised us the comforter.
