Heading out
The guns are shot, cleaned and oiled.... I'm leaving tomorrow to go to BCT in Ft. Jackson SC. It should be a blast, I'm looking forward to it. Just going to miss my family, and you guys of course

Flying down, need to report to MEPS first in Portland. T-2 hours....The wife, daughter and I are going down today, staying in a hotel and I need to be at MEPS at 0600. Anyway, I'm going to give my final .02 for a while on a few posts and I'm going to get ready to leave. Have a good one guys

Ft. Jackson, SC. 1970, B-2-1, "King of the Hill".
That's where I was in 1970. I was there in June. Have fun and work hard, you will have some what of a "Why did I do this" feeling about the second or third week but it will pass. Never draw to an inside straight. The experience can be a shock to first timers. I was also a Drill Sergeant at Ft. Dix, NJ. from 1981 to 1983, the other side of the coin, a stranger experience in my opinion. Good luck. Don Warren
