In Washington state you get one deer tag per year, you have to pick which weapon to, bow, muzzle or modern, you can only use one. its very restrictive.

Here in Alabama, between bow, spear (yes we do have a spear season in Alabama), muzzleloader, and gun, we have a three and a half month long season with a limit of two a day, one of which can be a buck. And you don't have to fool with tags. You just buy a hunting license and add big game to it. That brings the price up to $24. So a person could legally kill around 210 deer a season. I am sure no one has ever done that or ever will, but you legally could. The last three or four seasons they have imposed a three buck season limit. Obviously trying to get people to kill more does. The most I have killed in one season was four. That was two seasons ago. Last season and so far this season I killed two each. My kills so far this season. Nothing to brag about but they will taste good. ![]() ![]()

Like Win73 said, it used to be 2 a day of which 1 has to be antlered. Now, there is a 3 buck season limit and 1 of those 3 has to have at least 4 beams on one side. You can still shoot 2 does a day.

Here in CT you can get quite a few if you do all the different types.
I mainly bow hunt, but I will get a state land tag for shot gun. Bow 6 total = 4 regular season, 2 for January extended on private land (1/2 of those are doe only remainer are either sex) State shot gun, 1 tag either sex State Muzzleloader, 1 tag either sex Priavte land gun and Muzz are 2 each. That's about 12 a year. You can get additional doe tags in certain zones. |

Rough year for me! I ended up with two deer this year. One 6 point and one button buck. Took both with my bow @ 30 yards or less. Had a muzzleloader malfunction during the monsoon deer gun weak and that one doe was the only one I saw the remainder of the gun week. Pretty thin the rest of the year. But I'll take my two and be happy and just plan for next year.

In Fl. it's 2 a day every day, every season from mid Sept thru mid Jan with a week in gun season for antlerless deer. Some WMA's have there own quota limits. Private land owners/hunt clubs/leases can apply for additional doe tags. For example I belong to a hunt club that leases 3000 acres we apply and usually get 13-14 additional doe tags to be used whenever we choose. Our swamp donkeys are small and cagey as all get out but there's alot of them.
