Optics advice that really helped at the range today courtesy of a friend+my results - The Firearms Forum

I went to the range today. Its an outdoor facility with alot of members. I am also a permanent member. It was one of those days where nothing could go wrong. I also was introduced to a new product by a friend for my rifle shooting. It is exceedingly helpful in Florida's humid weather in out door ranges, where one's spoting scopes, rifle scopes, binauculars,etc, get fogged up.
It cleans all optics with no mess and is awesome.

Here it is.

I also used by Smith and Wesson 22 pistol,which is the first gun in my signature line. Here are the results on this 6 inch target at 25 yards using standard factory sights. The range master invited me to compete. No optics or extras were used by me at the 25 yard level. I only used optics on the 50 & 100 yard with my Remington 597 rifle. Sometimes you just have a good day. Remember, this is a 6 inch target at 25 yards using factory sights only.

This was alot of fun.

It was a great day indeed. I did some Glocks as well as many other firearms. I saw a couple on really nice SKS rifles and also a few odd ball Winchesters.

Not implying that they shoot oddballs or that the people who shoot them are, but rather that these had customized stocks that were very unusual in that I have not seen them before. Not a slam against a fine gun maker like Winchester at all. Hope it clarifies.

Rem, This past weekend was sucklin' regarding the weather...I'll try to post up some 25 yd. groups this upcoming one...I've got my "finners" crossed for decent weather...Good group by you!...

Also, I agree with everyone about Marlins. This is why I have two.
I have the model 60 SS and SSK. See my signature line. Marlins are awesome.

My very favorite is my Marlin 39. It has always been a real tack driver for me.

Wouldn't trade it for all the tea in China!

Thanks Smokingun for the welcome, I have M 880Sq - with a 3x12x40 AO BSA scope, M60 SSB 3X9 scope , M25 Glenfeild, all shoot great- I would have to say the 880SQ shoots the best, I have Maxed the Black Death Target a numer of times with the SQ, Thanks agin. Ted.

The top pistol is a Walther P22. A buddy let me shoot his at the range. I had to get one. Best and most accurate .22 I have ever shot. Take my word for it, if you like Glock, you will love Walther. Don't take my word for it. Shoot one and then I guarantee you will buy one. They are around $350

The factory sights on that puppy are magnificent. Its a dot triad with phenomenal accuracy. Also , the magazine release is on the trigger. Pretty cool, huh!?!!!

awesome! ya know, there is nowhere close to me really (that is convienent) for me to target shoot.

anyway ~ i've been trying to talk my cousin into opening up a firing range. i cannot image what that would cost tho.

The Wyoming Antelope Range cost them about $400,000 to build. ,but its a state of the art facility with everything.
I would never get tired of shooting. I would be there all day. Its much easier to have a day job.

Also, One of those days, that penny will be shredded wheat
