i have a K frame S&W model 64 with a 4" barrel and a bobbed hammer.
looking for recommendations on Cross Draw Holsters. something that does not hang too far below the belt line, about a 45 degree cant and good retention are desirable factors. what type of holster do you use with these specs?

I think that bobbed hammer is gonna cause problems. My favorite x-draw, the Bianchi 111, is a thumb-break. Without a hammer spur, it won't fit right, and might not even hold the gun in.
