Thumbs up My two favorite pistols!

Double action Model 66 Combat .357 magnum S&W in Stainless Steel.
Glock 21 in .45acp 2 Hi Cap mags.
Both produce nice big old fashioned holes.

My favorite is probably my most recent aquisition which happens to be a 2nd generation model S&W .455 WW-1 contract gun to the Brits or Canadians.

Its been converted to .45 Long Colt probably early on in the last century.

Been busy making up some lead bullets in .457 diameter because the cylinder throats are so blasted big at that size.

Gun is in Owen Wisconsin being reblued by a gent that does really nice work, might be getting in a week or two.

Ruger Blackhawk - .357 ... my first pistol ...and I can hit with it.

I have a snub nose S&W Model 66 - love that revolver, but my wife loves it more - she never has liked semi-autos but loves the wheel guns. She has laid claim to the S&W.

My favorite pistol has to be my Kahr K40 in 40 S&W. It fits my hand so well it is just like pointing my finger at the target when I shoot it. Running a close second to the Kahr is my Colt Commander in 38Super. It will do anything that the Kahr will do, but is just a bit too large for my personal comfort and preference as a CCW.

Now, if the discussion were about revolvers, it would be

1. My old (circa 1978?) Dan Wesson .357 pistol pac w/ 2, 4, 6, & 8 inch bbls.

2. The Dan Wesson .44 mag pistol pac (circa 1982) w/ 2 ported/2non ported 6 inch bbls, and 2 poprted/2non ported 8 inch bbls., that I sold about 4 years ago to my son (but still get to use anytime I want).

Others that I have, but are far from "favorite" are a couple of reallly old Harrington & Richardson break top pistols; one in 38S&W the other .32 cal, and an old Iver Johnson 5 shot in 38S&W.

Default Tough one, boys.......

I'd have to say that my Model 36's are my favorites. There's really something to be said for 100% reliable, 5 shots that can be palmed behind the hand..... try that with the latest glow in the dark-plastic/decoder ring/wondergun.... Second favorites are my Ruger P-89's, as reliable as my Chief's Specials, but a little more firepower... I'm still working on the prototype for my hi-cap pocket-auto that spits out FLYING MANHOLE COVERS. The only problem is, the recoil is MURDER!

Owww....how do I pick and choose between all of my babies?

"Mother"...my competition gun. Essex frame, Remington Rand slide, Mk.IV, Series 70 Nat'l Match barrel & bushing, Nat'l Match Trigger, long tang grip safety, MMC adjustable sights, Pachmayr grips and flat mainspring housing, ported, polished, relieved...built her myself.

"Smitty"...a sweet little S&W Model 49 "Bodyguard" carry piece.

But then there's also "Sgt. York", "Nigel", "Sam", "Dick Tracy", "Bob", "The Colonel", & "WR".....

How to choose....how to choose?

That's funny, X'er...all my sweeties have feminine names...Hmm...

I have Mdl. 66 that would definitely be my choice for "only have one in a dangerous situation." But favorite...naah.

Gold Cup, SA V10 UC, early model Hi Power, Kimber Custom Classic...in that order.

Wait I have a couple of Llama Pocket Auto's from the 1950's that are really cool...

Oooh, I have a 1950 Government Model, rarely shot, all paperwork and box...that's gotta be it...

No really, I have a SW Mdl. 17 that is really sweet, works like a timepiece...surely that is my favorite.

Ok, I see...I LOVE THEM ALL!!!!!

Default Favorite pistols

The most fun pistol I own is my 8-3/8 inch barrel Smith &Wesson model 15-3 .38 special revolver. Tack driver, pleasant to shoot, fits my hand perfectly.
Most versatile is my Dan Wesson .44 pistol pack early 80's vintage. Love barrel interchangability, easy headspacing, rugged, good looking and shoots nicely. Hear, Hear...two votes for a Dan Wesson in one thread...
