I was up in British Columbia, Canada when i was 22 years old and there was one of those rope things for jumping in the lake...only thing was there was a big rock you had to swing around. A 12 year old kid got on that rope and went running down the hill and instead of swinging around the rock like everyone else he slammed right into the rock... Not only was there blood but SPLATTERED blood!!!! There were Canadian State troopers there and they called the ambulance and all that stuff... everyone lost interest in messing with that rope for jumping into the lake after that.

Kinetic energy, energy absorbtion or deflection?
How about don't put your foot through the loop?
Are they really willfull idiots?
