Default advice for dummy......receiver

Sirs:
From the provided description is it possible to say this dummy receiver
is legal to use for a mp40 parts kit?

I see no reason why it shouldn't be legal with original parts. Note that your parts kit bolt and other internal parts won't fit. I don't know if it was from the same maker, but I saw one that looked pretty good. On close inspection it was apparent that the thin aluminum receiver could never be anything but a display or "prop" gun, but it would have been fine for those purposes.
