What velocity is the limit for ammo to be considered sub-sonic? How fast before it is over the 'sub-sonic' factor?

The speed of sound, at sea level, is 1125 feet per second. If it is slower than the speed of sound, it is "sub sonic". Faster than the speed of sound, it is "super sonic".
