Default Another Newbie

Just wanted to send out a hello to all!
I have snuk into this forum for a while and after seeing how things go I decided to sign up. Living in northern NY, the winter gives me a little added time to surf the net. [ Too darn cold to do much else]
We do some ice fishing but the temp. was a balmy -21 f this AM.
Decided to stay inside.
I like hunting, fishing, shooting, snowmobiling, ATV ing, working on my land, food plotting etc. but most of all sharing in all of these with my family.
We do all we can with each other.
I also collect " Gun Digest " books. I have the entire collection from 1944 to 2010. I've been 15 plus years putting the collection together.
I hope I can contribute to this forum in some way.
Lynn

Welcometo the forum LMG. With that collection of Gun Digest you should be able to answer many historical questions.

We are growing clover [ about 12 acres ] alfalfa, chicory, brassicas, corn, sugar beets and a couple mixes from seed companies.
We do this all for wildlife, mainly deer and turkies, with the exception of 45 acres of corn a local farmer who rents the land from me, grows to harvest.
This year we are planning to grow a few acres of warm season grasses to break up our larger field into smaller plots and provide some additional cover.

No livestock. Just a love for the land, deer, turkies, hunting and the outdoors.
The whole family gets involved in the work from planting, maintaining to hunting.

I'm about 30 miles south of Canada and 30 miles west of the Adirondacks.

Must be pretty country. Post some pictures of your farm, we like pictures here. We need more people like you. Doing something is always more important than talking about something.
