Default people's militia?

How many of you all on this gun forum would join and actively participate in a 'people's militia' if there were such a thing nowadays? I'm referring to a sort of militia like was made up of volunteers in the colonial days of america when we were going to try for freedom from an oppressive regime(england). What would you be willing to give up to join such a militia to protect our rights and our land from foreign invasion? Job, Money, be away from family, perhaps your own life? Many in the colonial days gave everything they had and recieved nothing in return because they gave their life or were imprisioned. The volunteers provide their own clothing, food, weapons and endured numbing cold winter and no guarantees that they would be the victor. What would you do?

IMHO, freedom is worth fighting for, and dieing for. I'm getting on up there in age, and my body don't work like it used to, but I would be there. Probably wouldn't count for much, other than the head count.

If there was a foreign invasion I would be on the front lines as I live on the right coast. The choices would be run or fight and I've got bad knees and don't run. Take out the officers if you can.

If we were being invaded by foreign entitys, you bet! To protect our rights that my ancestors fought for in 1776, you bet! To protect my family, you bet, and you wouldnt have to be a foreigner either if you threaten my family.

IMO; each state should have it's own militia. We do have the "National Guard"; but they're under too much "Federal" control.

With the way this administration is trampling on "State Sovereignty", I think "States" need to ban together and say enough is enough.
