Question ruger scope

I would like to put a scope on my Super Blackhawk Bisley.
Pistol is .44 mag with 7 1/2 barrel. Any advice on mounts and
scopes would be big help.

well what kind of mount, and does this model have a rail on it?
if it does not have a rail it will have to be drill and tapped, if it does, just screw on any standard mount.

I believe Weaver makes a blackhawk mount and can be had from Brownell's or MidwayUSA. If I remember correctly, part of the mount will use the screw hole from the rear sight (which will be removed) and then a few holes will need to be drilled and tapped on the top strap. As far as a pistol scope goes, any 2x from a reputable manufacturer will hold up to the 44 Mag's punishment. I would advise against a 4x due to the long eye relief of the scope and high magnification. Tried a 4x once and could not hit anything with it due to shaking. Switched to a 2x and all was fine.

What part of AZ are you from. I know several gunsmiths in the Chandler area.
