Finally got it.
It arrived today.
At last I now own a Colt Mark IV series 70 1911A1. Nickel plated with Hogue grips and adjustable sights. Man I got to get batteries for my digital.

The Series 70 was the best of the Colt designs, Berto! I have a Commander in Series 70 (one of the last they built), and it's worked flawlessly for nearly 20 years. We need a range report and some pics!!!!

Now Berto, you're gonna be sure to install a nice Series 80 firing pin safety on the Series 70, right? We wouldn't want you to have Feinstein and Clinton on your case for possessing such an "evil" weapon as a Series 70 Colt, now would we?
