my favorite in my ever growing collection has to be my Ruger M77 Hawkeye All Weather chambered in .308 winchester. its topped by a Bushnell Elite 4200 4x16x40mm scope. its the best out of the box, with no customizing, shooter ive ever had.

Not familiar with a Winchester lever .308 but Davidsons has a few Marlin lever actions in .308 Marlin Express.

If it requires a bullet, or just needs to die, I grab the Remington VLS 22-250

Big blue long-barrel S&W 357. No, it's not a .44, but it'll still kick A##.

I like 'em all for individual reasons . The Rossi is an intriguing design - a gun with interchangeable barrels .
A 20 gauge shotgun ![]() and a rifle chambered to .223 Remington ![]() ![]() Our first centerfire rifle (and shotgun). It makes a loud noise and has actual recoil . A real gun. The Savage 93R17-GV makes teeny lil' holes in things that are really , really far away . The targets are at 100 yards. And look at the cute , fat lil' hedgehog I killed...... ![]() ![]() ![]() The 10/22 is great for plinking at 25-50 yards . The Henry is a handy "grab n' go" rifle with a magazine that holds 15 rounds and a real nice walnut stock . I can put .22 Win mags in the Single Six and pretend that I'm Clint Eastwood or something.....Field stripping and reassembling the Mark III ![]() tests the strength of my Christian faith. I'm like B & B, I like them all. They are all different and serve different purposes. If I had to, in rifle I'd say either my Shilen Bench Rest rifle, or my 40X. In pistol, it would be either my Les Baer Super Tac or my wore out Kimber Custom Classic.

Mr. Nameless, here are a couple of links to a couple of great lever action rifles in .308 Win. that don't have the tube type mag. If you don't mind used rifles I would give the Savage model's 99 and 1895 a look. Neather of these rifles are currently being made and more than likely never be made again. I my mind the Savage Md. 99 is one of the best lever action rifles ever made. ![]() http://www.gunsinternational.com/Sav...TOKEN=57742706 http://www.collectorsfirearms.com/ad...p?itemID=20918 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savage_Model_99 Art

My favorite rifle would probably be my 45-70 Marlin Guide Gun. As far as handgun my 1911 Sig TTT would probably get the nod. I do however have a very strong affection for the S&W 22a that my wife bought for me. I put a Tasco Pro-Point red dot scope on it and the it is awsome accurate.
