Default .45 GAP

Has anyone shot the .45 GAP ? I see Springfield is making one in the XD line of pistols.

Never shot it....probably won't.

Aside from the ability to make the grip a tad smaller due to the shorter round, which could be an advantage to those with smaller hands, I've not seen any advantage to .45GAP over the .45ACP.

And, .45ACP is available just about everywhere.

Heck, I've got small hands (I'm not a thief though ), and I have no problems handling pistols that carry the .45ACP.

Does anyone know why the .45GAP was invented? It strikes me as another designer round...

I think the reason it was invented was so that Glock could sell a .45 caliber pistol in countries that ban military calibers for civilian use.
