and I'm ready for the morning hunt. Fired about 12 shots through it before the fouling became bad enough to slow up the reloading procedure. I am useing the 777 powder tablets, and it does seem to take less effort to clean but still quite a bit of residue down by the breech. Also, I am shooting the sabot 240 gr. bullets. Accuracy with an old Leupold 4X wasn't excetional today, though but it should be enough for anything within 150 yds. The deer just better get alot bigger.

Ben -
Good luck with your Omega, hope you score with it. I'm still tryin to get my Traditions Thunderbolt .45 bore sighted. Gonna try and finish it up this afternoon. Then tomorrow its off to the camp to shoot it on paper. Looks like I'll miss the oppening day of the ML season as its Tag-A-Longs birthday ~~~ you know how it is. But hope to be chasin' em around deer camp on Suinday. Good luck to ya!!!

The Omega collected me a fine little buck. I do have to say after all the moisture and snow, did not pose a problem. Fouling isn't too bad either with the Tripple 7, but still I would want to clean one pretty soon after I fired it for the last time.

Well, congratulations, cointoss2. I missed deer season this year, so will have to do with lamb. Next year, though...

Congrats Ben -
At leasst one of us got sosmethin. Didn't get to go out last Sunday, and won't get to go out this week-end 'cause Jeanine and I both have this Michigan Crud that's going around. I'm so plugged up I'm having to run two oxygen systems to help me breathe. Maybe I can gaet out for a day or so during the extended rifle season. Next time I come up I'll bring you some home made "Moose Milk" that will make cleaning that Omega a lot easier. Regards

Sounds good on the "milk" Ruf, you two take care of the colds. I just got over it myself.
