Default Practical 1911's

I tend to either shoot on our L.E. range or Hunt Club nowadays more than I ever have and for this reason Ive thought about consolidating my 1911's from various "Safe queens" to pistols that I will shoot a great deal. I just have always been with a few exceptions the kind of person who doesn't like having a bunch of guns too nice to shoot often. I have read a great deal of your replies and greatly respect your opinion's when it comes to guns versus some of the Law Enforcement forums atleast on the gun topics. Should I downsize my 1911's to one or two kick ass trophy race type loaded 1911's that are more reliable and can handle more rounds through them? One I can't part with is a 70series Colt my father left me but the others I can sleep trading them in. Input on this please.
