Default Finally shot my new Kimber Ultra Raptor II

Took it to an indoor range (I prefer shooting outside but it was raining like hell) and came away very pleased. Sure, it's not like taking my 6" bbl wheel gun to shoot bullseye but they're two different animals. It gave me a very satisfactory group in a silhouette target at practical defensive range. Handles and feels good in my hand and the recoil is very manageable. Plenty of other good quality concealed carry guns at a more modest price but I have always wanted to own and shoot a Kimber.

Sounds like you like it.
That is what it is all about.

Glad you're happy with your new Kimber, 1955pirate. I bought a Custom TLE/RL II, my first 1911, and I'm a bit disappointed. Love the look and feel, but it shoots about 8 inches to the left at 25 yards and jammed twice in the first 65 rounds. Not what I expected from Kimber.

Hey, JohnnyGotHisGun, let us know what you determine is the cause (and fix) for your problem. Since my original post about my Ultra Raptor II I have continued to have fine performance (subject to my own failings ) with the piece.

I know this is an old thread but... I think the break-in period for that gun is around 400 or 500 rounds shot through it.
