Looking at a Ruger p85, as new, hi-capacity mags x 2, box and papers for wife. Wife used it to take CHL class, likes weapon. The owner has shot less than 300rds through it, I have shot about 1200rds through it. Question: Is it worth $400.00. That is what the guy wants.

I believe he wants a wee too much! When these guns were brand new, they only cost $290 to $325.

It's only worth $400 if that is what you are willing to pay. Personally, in the condition you describe I'd offer no more than $225. Current Book on 95%, which in this case is questionable is $265 ... still high though.

Even if your wife really wants one $400 is too high, find another one if he won't come down.
