I recently bought my first .40 S&W and am getting ready to work up a target/plinking load for it. I have some 180 gr Montana Gold FMJ bullets and lots of Bullseye, Unique and 2400 lying around. Can anyone suggest some of their favorite loads using these components? Primers will be Winchester SP, cases are once-fired Federal. Launch vehicle is CZ-75B.

I believe my old load was 6.3 gr of unique with a hornady xtp 180 gr, but i need to check my notebook to verify.

I switched to winchester 231 and got rid of a lot of smoke.
