Default Prayers Appreciated

About a month ago the doc found that I have a irregular heart beat. There was not a big concern because many people have this type of heart beat however, since I am 46 years old, the doc thought I should see a cardiologist (I saw one about 7 years ago and all was good).

Tomorrow I will be doing the treadmill test at the cardiologist. I have been running routinely and I am ready for the run. I would just like to lean on my friends at TFF for some prayers in asking that it would be in Gods will for me to have good results.

Thanks everybody,
Jim

A prayer was said for you and family. The last mention per my nightly prayers
is to all my friends on the forums, as well. As the son of a prominent minister,
I spent too much time growing up in hospitals and family circles. All I
will add is the power of prayer is recognized by any doctor even, as too
many times they have proven to be heard.

I wish you the best from here. Had a single bypass in 03, and a stent last
year then another inside that one after it collapsed. Do as you are advised and
I am sure the doc will help you. It is a serious thing, and I still wake up sometimes
at night, remembering holding my only younger bro's hand when he went..from
heart damage unknown at age 39...they shocked him 16 times and then he just
never came out after surgery. Anything found in advance is a blessing and you
need to listen to the good docs.

For what it was worth, concerning my PTSD and depression, it was also found
that many such meds also caused an arythmia or off beat as to the heart...
I am sure all your meds and related are being looked at. Dont be discouraged
during any time period(s) allowing right dosages to be found.

regards from Texas,

Lord, we come before you this morning uplifting Jim.
The doctors are testing him today to learn the condition of his heart.
Often when we talk to you about the condition of a heart, we are speaking spiritually.
But today, we are talking about his physical heart.
Lord, you already know both the spiritual and physical condition of Jim's heart.
You designed and built him, and his spiritual and physical health are in your hands.
We ask, Father, that you would give Jim a touch today.
We ask that you would bring healing to his physical body.
We ask that this test would show there is nothing wrong.
And we also ask, Lord, that you would touch him spiritually as well, to give him the calm assurance that everything is in your hands.

We also ask that you would be with his family and friends at this time, that you would give them assurance as well.

And we ask all of these things in the name of Jesus the Christ, the Alpha and the Omega.

Just found this thread, Jim;

Praying for you, the test, and the doctor as he watches the monitor and trace, that he will make the right interpretation. If there is a problem, that he will come up with the right diagnosis and treatment; if there is no real problem, that he will give you a clean bill of health.

Please keep us posted.

Don't let it get you down, think positive, and you will have postive results.

I had an irregular heart beat when I was in my 30's. The more I worried about it the worse it got, and the worse it got the more I worried. It turned out to be axiety, caused by me worring about it. The old ticker would skip a beat now and then, but I was causing it my self.

I really want to thank everybody for their prayers. What a great honor it is to have friends like everyone here that will take a moment and pray for someone that is in need, and really haven't even met.

I went to my Cardiologist today for my stress test. They put me on the tread mill, and did a Echo Cardiogram test (I believe that is what they called it). The Echo Cardiogram is basically an ultra sound that helps them to watch the heart function and they can take pictures of it. I was able to lay on the table and watch my heart function before and after the tread mill test.

The good news is the good Lord blessed me with a clean bill of health. I am so grateful. I was not worried about it and this is why.

Ten years ago I was diagnosed with esaphigal cancer, and at that time my daughter was 10 years old and I was raising her alone. That day I learned the meaning of putting ones trust in God. God and me talked, one on one. I put my total faith in his hand and understood that his will needed to be done. 10 years later I am healed, and the doctor that gave me my clean bill of health for my cancer asked me how much chemotherapy I had. I told him none, and that was the truth. Today I am cancer free because of God's will, and because I put my faith in his hands. It is that pure and simple. When I saw my daughter walk accross the stage at her graduation, it was a direct blessing from the Lord and he made that very clear to me. All I can say is when the doctor tells you that you have cancer, that is when the rubber meets the road. That is when you get on your needs and open your hands and freely give your burdens to God.

Today I got on my knees and glorified God because once again, he rescued me. 8 weeks ago, an odd reading on my EKG. Today, the doctor tells me, it looks so good that you don't even have to come back. My heart is healthy.

Thank you everybody,
Jim
